Backstory
Creative director Toru Iwasa repurposed seven abandoned machiya into a dispersed hotel where nightly stays directly fund the local shopping street.

The Ohmiya dining room serves traditional breakfast centered on Lake Biwa unagi chazuke, leaving dinner entirely to neighborhood merchant eateries.
