What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
A Piattatella is a ‘hideout’ in Corsican. An apt name for this lovely hotel nestled high up in the village, in a beautiful, peaceful garden.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Monticello sits high in the Balagne hills, with olive groves and the Regino valley sloping toward the coast.
The rooms
Rooms in the hillside villas sit among wild maquis and granite boulders, opening onto wide valley views.
The pool and gym
Bring a swimsuit.
A heated infinity pool stretches out beneath century-old olive trees. Nearby, a wooden fitness cabin overlooks the valley.
The sauna and whirlpool
A wood-paneled sauna joins an outdoor whirlpool bath perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the valley.
The spa
Local practitioners give open-air massages in the shade of holm oaks, surrounded by granite boulders.
At the table
Tables on the covered terrace look out across the valley. The kitchen serves homemade Corsican cuisine from lunch through dinner.
How it began

In 2011, founders Valérie and Thierry built each structure directly around the Monticello slope's granite boulders and century-old olive trees.
