Minimalist desert outpost
Modular pavilions and inflatable transparent bubbles cluster among wheat fields, shielded from the fierce desert wind by stacked wooden produce crates.
“Modernist architecture and a dramatic setting on the edge of the Bardenas Reales desert make this hotel seem a world apart from Tudela.”

These prefab pods, hunkered down against the relentless Bardenas wind, don’t exactly scream out ‘rustic’ or ‘charming’ or any related hotel-industry descriptors.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
The clay canyons and wind-sculpted rock formations of Bardenas Reales Natural Park lie just beyond the property perimeter.
The rooms
Deep plywood-lined window bays double as daybeds facing the desert, while detached suites offer enclosed courtyards with outdoor steel bathtubs.
The outdoor pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The outdoor pool sits beside the vegetable garden, sheltered by stacked produce crates with views across the fields.
The treatment room
Massage tables face an expansive picture window looking straight out across the open desert landscape.
Dogs stay too.
At the table
The dining room serves produce grown in the on-site garden, highlighting Tudela artichokes and regional Navarra wines.
The rooms center on what the architects call 'inhabitable windows:' big, glassed-in pop-outs where you can sit and contemplate the desert…
How it began

Architects Emiliano López and Mónica Rivera designed the low-impact prefabricated cubes without deep foundations to sit lightly on the fragile landscape.
