Our shorthand ↗
Al Moudira Hotel, vibe
“Al Moudira’s 54 rooms are palatial, ornate, fifty-plus square meters of stone, tile, gold leaf and antique furniture.”
— Michelin

Rooms

Kaleidoscopic tiled floors and stained-glass light accompany antique furnishings, leading to hammam-style marble bathrooms fitted with deep soaking tubs.

“a lush, artfully aged jumble of hand-painted hallways, quiet garden nooks, and herb-scented air.”
— Condé Nast Traveler

Wellness

Two traditional white-marble Turkish hammams and a sauna provide deep heat therapy, alongside a grand outdoor pool flanked by date palms.

“Luxor’s Al Moudira hotel, between the sugarcane fields on the quiet West Bank of the Nile, is only two decades old, but feels like it has already been around…”
— AFAR

Backstory

Local artisans named the estate after founder Zeina Aboukheir, translating to the boss in Arabic, after transforming barren desert into palatial courtyards.

Eat & drink

The Ottoman Hall serves Mediterranean dishes under stone arches, while the Eastern Bar pours classic cocktails amid antique Alexandria palace furnishings.

The neighborhood

Tucked among West Bank sugarcane fields, the estate sits far from central Luxor crowds and minutes from the Valley of the Kings.
