Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
On a wooded hillside facing Mount Izu, surrounded by Navarra forests of oak and beech.
The rooms
Deep soaking tubs sit in the center of each suite, facing floor-to-ceiling windows that look out toward Mount Izu.
The vitality pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Stainless-steel waterfalls and hydromassage jets feed the vitality pool, which looks straight out across the wooded valley.
The spa
A glazed Finnish sauna looks out at the pool, and slatted wooden loungers rest on pink Himalayan salt crystals.
Restaurant
Sala de Catas
Illuminated wine cabinets line this cellar room, where a sculptural tasting table sits inside a barrel-shaped timber niche.
At the table
Raw-edge tables and an open terrace overlook the valley, where the kitchen cooks with seasonal produce from local Navarra growers.
How it began

A water dowser chose the building site. Timber salvaged from a burned seventeenth-century farmhouse downhill was repurposed for the facade.
