In a lively part of town

Gouraud Street sits right outside the gates, lined with bohemian bistros and neighborhood art galleries.
The rooms

Arthaus Restaurant
Tables sit on the sandstone garden terrace and under a floral mural, serving foul mudammas and seasonal market dishes.
Some rooms are large with lofty arched ceilings and hidden nooks, while the smaller options feel more like a bedroom in a stately private home, with original tiles and lots of windows.
At the table
House cocktails are mixed beneath white arches in the sunlit atrium, and the subterranean vault holds an intimate wine lounge.
How it began

The 2020 port explosion wrecked the property on its opening day. The owners rebuilt in two months, launching with an exhibition that supported local artists.
