What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
As its name suggests, art is a particular feature of this hotel which boasts excellent, comfortable guestrooms… plus a beautiful location on the River Havel.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
The grounds look out over the Havel meadows, and Havelberg's historic island town is a short walk away.
The rooms
Custom timber furniture from the family workshop fills the bedrooms, and selected Wellness Suites add private infrared cabins.
The saunas
A bio-sauna is heated to 60 degrees Celsius, and a traditional Finnish sauna reaches 100 degrees.
The relaxation room
Adjustable loungers sit beside textured screens in the relaxation room, beneath a decorative lotus leaf wall sculpture.
Restaurant Schmokenberg
Terrace and conservatory tables look across the Havel river meadows, and the kitchen serves regional dishes and Wagyu beef.
How it began

Andreas Lewerken began crafting wooden toys in 1985 before expanding into boatbuilding and rebuilding this 19th-century inn.
