R Collection HotelsModernist lakeside villa
The ten-room villa trades Como's grand palaces for curved glass and private parkland along the quiet shores of Lake Annone.
What it’s good at
Notable
Architect Giuseppe Manzoni wrapped the 1950s structure in curved glass facing Lake Annone.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Bianca Relais, a Fifties residence given a very flattering contemporary makeover by architect Giuseppe Manzoni.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Quiet kayak routes and cycling paths trace Lake Annone, just minutes from Oggiono and south of Lake Como.
The rooms
Curved modernist furniture fills the monochrome spaces, and eight of the suites include private in-room steam baths.
The steam baths
Sculptural loungers sit beside glass Starpool cabins that glow in blue and green during private steam sessions.
Restaurant
Bianca sul Lago
Chef Filippo Oggioni designs tasting menus drawn from the organic garden. Floor-to-ceiling windows look straight out over Lake Annone.
Bar
Drop
Cocktails are poured at a textured copper counter, and sliding glass doors open onto the lakeside terrace.
At the table
Breakfast is served in the bright lounge, with fruit and preserves harvested from the hotel's lakeside orchard.
How it began

For sixty years, the property housed Ca' Bianca, a beloved local restaurant, before its transformation into a hotel in 2019.
