What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
The elevated location of Burg Reichenstein offers guests a divine backdrop, with a view sweeping over the Rhine.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Trails lead straight into the forested Binger Wald, and the village of Trechtingshausen sits along the riverbank just below.
The rooms
Rooms tuck into the former bailey stables, and river-facing categories look straight down across the water.
Restaurant Puricelli
The dining room opens onto stone ramparts above the Rhine. The kitchen pours estate Pinot Blanc and serves Wispertal trout.
How it began

Industrialist Nikolaus Kirsch-Puricelli rebuilt the ruins in 1899, and his great-grandson bought the castle back in 2014 to restore it.
