What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Also in Condé Nast Traveler.
A unique and exclusive hotel with a cutting-edge design that blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Ponte de Lima sits ten minutes down the valley, having refused city status to remain Portugal's oldest village.
The rooms
Vineyard tents hide panoramic bathtubs behind African cloth curtains. In the pavilion, rooms have exposed concrete walls and antique rosewood.
The pools
Bring a swimsuit.
Curtained daybeds line the outdoor garden pool, and a heated indoor pool looks out through large pavilion windows.
The spa
Aromatherapy and Ayurvedic rituals take place beneath crystal chandeliers, and an outdoor hot tub bubbles in the garden.
Carmo's Restaurant
Regional Minho recipes draw from the estate garden, served in an intimate library room lined with books and tufted velvet banquettes.
How it began

Maria do Carmo Fernandes built the estate on rural farmland in 2012, furnishing the concrete pavilions with her personal antiques.
