Casa Mediterraneo Hotel
Sunset-hued neoclassical guesthouse
Sunset-hued neoclassical guesthouse
Three restored mansions run as an intimate guesthouse, oriented toward leisurely terrace breakfasts and sunset drinks above the harbour.
“Housed in a trio of neoclassical mansions set back from the waterfront, Marie Rivalant’s second guesthouse has a slightly more muted, polished feel.”
What it’s good at

The décor masterfully blends these influences — sunbaked plaster and natural textiles, marble and stone staircases — in an invigorating kaleidoscope.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Waterfront tavernas sit a short walk downhill, and wooden boats run to the Blue Grotto from the quayside.
The rooms
Suites take up an entire floor of each mansion. Shuttered windows look out to sea, and bathrooms have antique marble basins.
The yoga terrace
An outdoor stone yoga terrace sits among beds of lavender and rosemary on the hillside.
At the table
Breakfast brings fresh figs and goat cheese to marble tables, and the courtyard hosts communal pop-up dinners.
How it began

The nineteenth-century mansions stood empty after the Second World War until architect Marie Rivalant-Lazarakis restored them in 2022.
