Mass-timber thermal bathhouse
The property operates as a communal bathhouse, where guests move between silent underground soaks and an 82-degree social glasshouse.
“The interior has lots of natural light and organic elements, like light wood finishes and ample greenery.”
What it’s good at
Remarkable
A silent subterranean sanctuary holds hot vitality pools, cold plunges, and Finnish saunas.
Notable
Mass timber construction with a light-filled conservatory pool surrounded by leafy greenery.

The thermal baths
Floor lanterns light the underground soaking pools, and a curved cedar sauna looks onto the courtyard hot pool.
At the table
Terra Mae serves Portuguese and Japanese dishes without seed oils, and the lobby cafe pours coffee with house-crafted alternative milks.
In December 2024, Cascada became the newest luxe spa to enter the category, and it has an on-site, multistory eco-hotel, café, restaurant, and bar.
How it began
Developer SolTerra originally planned a co-living complex here, shifting during the pandemic to build a thermal bathhouse.
