Fortified eco-spa chateau
Sixteenth-century fortifications enclose an organic country estate, where garden permaculture supplies the tables and geothermal wells heat the spa.

The luxury boutique hotel that’s grown up behind these turreted walls is a thoroughly modern one, incorporating original architectural elements but blending them seamlessly with modern additions.

The rooms
Prestige rooms occupy the sixteenth-century lodge, reached by a carved stone staircase set between the twin turrets.
The pools
Bring a swimsuit.
A 17-meter indoor pool heated to 30 degrees looks onto the park, and loungers border the outdoor pool.
The spa
A panoramic Finnish sauna looks onto a pebble garden, and treatment rooms use Dr. Hauschka botanical products.
At the table
Candlelit tables surround the courtyard fountain for dinner, and a stone-vaulted cellar bar pours biodynamic wines.
How it began

Organic entrepreneur Didier Perréol bought the hunting lodge in 2013, retrofitting the historic property with geothermal heating and hemp insulation.
