What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Some rooms and suites are housed in the original château, and the rest are in adjacent buildings fashioned out of the remains of an ancient winery.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Limestone trails wind through the surrounding La Clape massif, and the Mediterranean coast is a ten-minute drive away.
The rooms
Travertine floors and pale timber run through the bedrooms, and suites open onto private terraces above the vines.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Stone patios and sun loungers surround the heated outdoor pool, backed by terracotta roofs and wooded hills.
The spa
Three treatment rooms look out across the vines, with grape-seed vinotherapy rituals and a dedicated sauna.
Movement
Morning yoga takes place poolside, and the estate grounds include an outdoor tennis court and gym.
At the table
L'Art de Vivre cooks with vegetables from the estate garden, and Chez Paule roasts over a wood-burning fireplace.
How it began

The estate began as a medieval hospice sheltering pilgrims, centuries before winemaker Gérard Bertrand acquired the property in 2002.
