For her Málaga abode, Lonzano rebuilt and refurbished a 19th bourgeois mansion on one of the city’s oldest streets, and created a collection of guest rooms that tell the stories of characters from Bedfor’s childhood.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Calle Granada sits right outside, and the Picasso Museum is just a short stroll through the historic center.
The rooms
Striped fabrics skirt the beds and sinks, surrounded by embroidered cushions and restored 19th-century hydraulic floor tiles.
Restaurant
La Cocina de Cristine
Equestrian prints hang above deep green wainscoting, and chef Pablo Vega prepares seasonal Andalusian dishes.
How it began

Before its two-year restoration, the 1871 building had been carved up into a flamenco dress shop and an escape room.
