Elastic Architects (along with a few special guest designers) wisely resisted the temptation to recreate previous versions of the Delano.

Mimi Kakushi serves Wagyu and Donabe rice for guests, and bartenders pour floral Negronis across the red quartz bar.

The hotel marquee proudly advertised air conditioning as a headline luxury when the tower opened in 1947.
