It runs like a tailored private club, swapping the city's scruffy indie tropes for midcentury leather and local Oregon craft.
“The lobby has a distinct Midcentury-meets-Deco vibe that perfectly encapsulates the city's refined hipster aesthetic.”

Also in Condé Nast Traveler.
This is a redesign of a formerly undistinguished chain hotel, and the new proprietors…have gone out of their way to feature local products and amenities, connecting the hotel with the city in a genuine way.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Pioneer Courthouse Square sits two blocks east, and Powell's City of Books is a quick walk north.
The rooms
Desks sit beside wide windows looking out over the city, and bathrooms come with spacious walk-in showers.
The gym
Peloton bikes and lululemon MIRROR screens fill the third-floor gym, set against a graphic scenic wall mural.
Restaurant
Bistro Alder
French bistro dishes draw on Pacific Northwest purveyors, served across checkered tile floors beside tall street-facing windows.
At the table
The bar serves Willamette Valley wines and cocktails mixed with house hydrosols, beside a marble counter and green banquettes.
How it began
