Michelin Selected
Michelin
The ten jungle villas are arranged in three private clusters, each with its own saltwater pool and shared lounge, and open to 270-degree views of ocean and canopy through natural ventilation rather than air conditioning.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
The black sands of Playa Negra lie just down the hill, and Puerto Viejo's seaside cafes are a short bike ride away.
The rooms
Tented villas look out across 270-degree canopy views, outfitted with open-air showers, swinging seats, and double daybeds on private verandas.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
A curved saltwater pool is set into wide timber decking, flanked by daybeds and shaded by dense jungle foliage.
Yoga and massage
An open-air timber pavilion with a canvas roof hosts daily yoga, and body treatments take place on private villa terraces.
At the table
Breakfast arrives on private terraces with tropical fruit and traditional gallo pinto, and drinks can be ordered poolside.
How it began

Founder Gašper Pavli conceived the resort after renting a Puerto Viejo cottage from local resident Hector, who now manages the property.
