Industrial brewery complex
Industrial brewery complex
The industrial brewing complex functions as an urban campus, wrapping waterside dining around a central lake that freezes for winter skating.
What it’s good at
Listed
Exposed brick walls preserve the 1898 Germania brewery building anchoring the campus.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Inside the hotel it’s another world. Suffice it to say that there’s very little in here that’s anywhere near as historically oriented as the exterior of the old brewery building.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
The historic Altstadt sits just south of the campus, placing Prinzipalmarkt's gabled facades an easy bike ride away.

The rooms
Grey felt walls integrate desks and shelving opposite raw concrete. Dark bog oak parquet runs underfoot.
At the table
La Tapia serves tapas in the former copper brewhouse, and DADI Brasserie pours house beer made with Münster's Brauerei Dackel.
How it began

Germania Brewery produced beer here from 1898 until 1984. Local architect Andreas Deilmann later revived the derelict red-brick complex.
