Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Sorbo Serpico lies in the quiet Irpinia wine country, an hour's drive inland from Naples and the Amalfi Coast.
The rooms
Rooms in the restored nineteenth-century villa look across rows of Fiano vines toward the Irpinia hills.
At the table
A woven chestnut nest encloses a tasting table inside the restaurant, and the tiered theater hosts vertical cellar tastings.
How it began

Two Irpinian families founded the estate in 1986, planting native grapes to help revive the area after the 1980 earthquake.
