“Skyway-connected glass beacon”
Warm, responsive service across all floors, complemented by evening turndown and custom wool suite blankets.
A dedicated wellness floor featuring an indoor lap pool, cold plunge, thermal suites, and seasonal rooftop saunas.
Lively gatherings across the Skyway-connected lobby, Bar Mara, and the fourth-floor Riva Terrace poolside bar.
At the top of Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis, two blocks from the Mississippi River.
“Height, clearly, is the name of the game — the better to take in the Mississippi or a cosmopolitan sunset, depending on the room.”
Rooms
Floor-to-ceiling windows frame river and skyline panoramas, paired with gentle Deco curves, marble tables, and warm wood paneling.
“The glassy, 36-story building offers an appealingly down-to-earth, accessible, community-minded style of luxury...”
Wellness
A dedicated wellness floor pairs an indoor lap pool framing city views with a fourth-floor outdoor pool plaza and thermal saunas.
“Local flourishes abound, from the regionally stitched Faribault blankets draped over elegant sofas in the suites to the sculptural installations livening up the spa.”
Backstory
Opened in 2022 on the historic Nicollet Hotel site, the 36-story glass tower established the city's first Five-Star hospitality.

The neighborhood
Set at the top of Nicollet Mall, the hotel sits two blocks from Mississippi Riverfront trails and the historic North Loop.
The app
This is one hotel. The app has every one we rate, in your pocket, for the whole trip.
Our shorthand
What makes a hotel special, how well they pull it off, and what it feels like outside the door.
How well they pull it off
Extremely rare. Sets the global standard.
Brilliant execution. And we’re picky.
They did this well. You’ll notice.
A defining trait. Makes the hotel what it is.
The eight vibes
Architecture and interiors lead. There’s a creative vision at work.
The guest is conspicuously well cared for. Requests met before they’re made.
Rooted in place. Local character runs through the whole stay.
Energy and scene. Where the city goes out, whether or not it’s sleeping here.
A building with history. The story of the place is part of the stay.
Built around feeling better. Rest, sweat, soak, spa.
A hotel the city grew up with. Same rituals, same regulars.
A world of its own. No reason to leave the property.
Scene — what’s outside the door
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
A place apart: the property is the destination.
