The camp runs like a 19th-century expedition outpost, where longboats arrive by river and elephants roam the surrounding bamboo.
“Designed by landscape architect Bill Bensley, the camp is a showcase of refined elegance, but it’s the all-inclusive experience that sets it apart.”

The Four Seasons Tented Camp is in a world of its own… tucked into a dense bamboo forest.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
The Ruak River runs directly below the camp, separating northern Thailand from the forested hills of Myanmar and Laos.
The rooms
Canvas tents stand on raised platforms above the canopy, with outdoor rain showers and hand-hammered copper bathtubs.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The elevated pool is bordered by granite boulders and recycled teak logs, looking out over the Ruak River toward Myanmar.
The spa
Two open-air treatment salas sit in the bamboo canopy, with outdoor soaking tubs reached across an 80-meter suspension bridge.
At the table
Meals range from private tastings inside the rustic wine cellar to candlelit dinners set along open timber decks at twilight.
Designer Bill Bensley’s mood-board takes its cues from the resort’s 19th century safari-adventure theme, dressing the lodge with handcrafted wooden furniture, timber flooring, hurricane lamps and standout hand-hammered copper bathtubs.
How it began

The camp partnered with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation in 2006 to give rescued elephants and their mahouts a permanent home.
“Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle is tucked into bamboo forest, with a collection of canvas-and-teak safari-style tents set on raised platforms.”
