What they say
Also in Condé Nast Traveler and Wallpaper*.
the Generator chain moved in and gave it a sharp designer makeover, all while preserving the palazzo’s historic architectural features.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Water buses cross the canal to Piazza San Marco in minutes, but Giudecca's own promenade remains unhurried and residential.
The rooms
Quarters range from basic bunks with personal charging sockets to private en-suite rooms looking across to San Marco.
Dogs stay too.
At the table
Long wooden communal tables stretch between stone columns toward the bar, where local beers and spritzes flow late.
it is the mix of these classics with locally sourced antique mirrors, a marble fireplace, a vintage pharmacy cupboard and other 'found objects' that gives the ground-floor public spaces their charm.
How it began

Designers combed northern Italian flea markets in a pick-up truck to unearth vintage pharmacy desks and antique mirrors.
