What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
The resulting hotel is retro-tinged, but ultimately fresh, and feels intentionally low-tech in comparison with the typical modern luxury hotel.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Place Centrale sits just outside the courtyard, while Martigny station and ancient Roman ruins are a short walk away.
The rooms
Wool flannel curtains divide raw concrete bedrooms from terrazzo baths, fitted with Bakelite switches and brass physical keys.
The water
Bring a swimsuit.
The thermal baths
Hot basins and cold plunges fill the wine-red concrete chambers, fed by mineral water from the Marioty spring.
At the table
Le Cercle serves sharing plates sourced within 180 kilometres, and Café Alphonse brews espresso beside shelves of vinyl.
How it began

The name comes from the borsaris, the nineteenth-century concrete tanks discovered in the abandoned winery cellars beneath the property.
