Our shorthand ↗
Hotel d'Angleterre Geneva, vibe
“The accommodations have been rather substantially modernized, with the Louis XV or English manor house décor updated with a more contemporary look.”
— Michelin

Rooms

Individually styled bedrooms feature bespoke pillow-top mattresses, marble-lined baths, vibrant patterned wallpapers, and curated original artworks including sketches by Picasso.

“Built in 1872, the historic building retains the feel on an old-school private club… but it is decidedly unfussy.”
— Forbes Travel Guide

Backstory

Architect Anthony Krafft designed the hotel in 1872 for Grand Tour travelers, later reconfigured to enlarge every guest room.

“Its 39 guest rooms and six suites are decked out with plush fabrics, colorful furnishings, and eclectic artwork.”
— Condé Nast Traveler

Eat & drink

Le 17 serves flame-cooked fare framing the lake, while the plush Leopard Bar offers afternoon tea, inventive cocktails, and light bites.

“The five-star Hotel d’Angleterre is a stone’s throw away and offers a unique mix of history: The hotel dates to 1755, but the best of the luxurious modern accommodations were added after a 2013 renovation.”
