Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Bressanone's cathedral square sits just outside the gates, opening into the pedestrian lanes of the historic town center.
The rooms
Villa Marzari rooms look across the park and orchards, while new attic suites sit beneath the main house's timber rafters.
The water
Bring a swimsuit.
The pools and spa
The heated outdoor pool curves through the private park. Inside, the 1888 vaulted stables hold an indoor pool and saunas.
Restaurant Elephant
An ornate green ceramic stove warms the wood-carved dining room. The kitchen serves classic South Tyrolean and Italian dishes.
How it began
Innkeeper Andrä Posch hosted the elephant Soliman during a two-week winter stopover in 1551, commissioning the fresco that still marks the facade.
