Pastoral dehesa estate
The nineteenth-century manor runs as a self-sufficient country estate, where days pass between roaming deer and private orchard harvests.

Michelin Selected
Michelin
There’s very little of the typical hotel experience about Hotel Valdepalacios... the villa nestles among fields and orchards, as far as the digital camera’s eye can see.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
On a 600-hectare dehesa estate in Torrico, facing the Sierra de Gredos mountain range.
The rooms
Bedrooms occupy the original manor house or garden pavilions, with top-floor rooms looking out toward the Gredos mountains.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Sun loungers line the freshwater pool on the lawn, looking out across the estate's open meadows.
Sauna and hydrotherapy
Water cascades into the indoor hydrotherapy bath facing the countryside, and a pine Finnish sauna sits next door.
The spa
Therapists in two private cabins draw on Angelo Caroli products for custom massages and body wraps.
At the table
Restaurante Tierra serves vegetables and eggs gathered from the estate orchards, beneath high ceilings and drum chandeliers.
How it began

Before its 2007 opening, the estate operated as a thoroughbred racehorse farm with its own stables and village school.
