The hotel runs on late nights and theatrical indulgence, trading quiet restraint for round-the-clock cocktails and drama.

Notable
Gilded Orient Express glamour with hand-painted gold wallpaper and dark velvet drapery.

this is the boutique hotel at its most decadent and hedonistic. In its elevated elegance it’s certainly unusual for Glasgow, and would be among the most stylish hotels
In a lively part of town
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Merchant City cocktail bars sit right outside on Glassford Street, and George Square is a five-minute walk away.
The rooms
Dimly lit rooms are wrapped in heavy velvet and animal prints. Suites place freestanding bathtubs directly beside the beds.
At the table
A six-metre marble bar runs through the lounge, and the glasshouse rooftop serves cocktails and Mediterranean plates.
This time things are even more opulent, with just 28 rooms bedecked in lavish, soft furnishings that range from four-poster beds to tiger print sofas piled high with velvet cushions.
How it began
The red sandstone warehouse dates to 1908, having housed trading offices and local nightclubs before its hotel conversion.
