The house
HyattBoutique-minded business tower
Built for traveling executives in the tech district, the 29-story tower swaps corporate chill for rich timber and tailored spaces.
What it’s good at
Notable
Wooden slats open sightlines between bedrooms and bathrooms beside modern horseshoe armchairs.
Notable
The dedicated spa centers on a Korean-style Akasuri body scrub room and steam facilities.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Rising some 29 rakish glass-and-metal stories above Wuhan’s Wuchang commercial district, the Hyatt Regency is, as they say, no boutique, at least not in scale.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Optics Valley tech offices line Luoyu Road outside, and the green shores of East Lake are a short drive away.
The rooms
Sliding timber screens connect the bedroom and bathroom. Hidden storage and modern Chinese horseshoe armchairs give each room a calm, residential order.
The indoor pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The heated 22-meter indoor lap pool is lined with recessed seating alcoves beneath a dark slatted ceiling.
The spa and gym
The 2,700-square-meter spa houses private treatment suites and saunas, and the 24-hour gym looks across the district through floor-to-ceiling windows.
At the table
Fu Yue 1077 prepares Cantonese and Hubei specialties across private dining rooms, and Market Café serves international dishes from open kitchens.
How it began

The property opened in 2013 as The PuYu, conceived by Melbourne's Layan Design Group before joining Hyatt in 2015.
