The rooms
Patterned wallpapers and silk damasks line the bedrooms. Bathrooms are finished in heated Italian marble.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The heated indoor pool is styled after Roman baths, with hydromassage jets set between fluted red columns.
The spa
The Guerlain spa includes eight treatment suites and a steam hammam. An adjoining tearoom serves herbal infusions.
Restaurant
Le Bordeaux
Red velvet armchairs fill the Belle Époque dining room, and tables spill onto the pedestrian square.
At the table
Le Pressoir d'Argent uses a solid silver press for tableside blue lobster. Upstairs, the rooftop terrace serves cocktails.
How it began

Victor Hugo addressed crowds from the terrace in 1871, decades before the private residence became a luxury hotel.
