Jai Mahal’s gardens add to the atmosphere, to be sure, but it’s the palace itself that’s the star of this show.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Set along Jacob Road in leafy Civil Lines, the grounds offer quiet seclusion within easy reach of Jaipur's historic forts and bazaars.

The rooms
Four-poster beds sit on cool marble floors beside intricate wooden latticework, and windows look out across the palace gardens.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The heated outdoor pool sits amid palm groves and manicured lawns, with cushioned loungers facing the historic palace wing.
The spa
Ayurvedic rituals and Indian royal massages unfold in tented treatment suites and a historic pavilion with carved marble screens.
The gym
Cardio machines and free weights look straight out through wide windows onto the estate's green lawns.
At the table
Cinnamon serves royal Rajput and Awadhi recipes, and private dinners are set by candlelight inside carved stone chhatris.
Interiors are dominated by the polished marble and vaulting ceilings characteristic of the Indo-Saracenic architecture that was popular here in the 18th century, when this place was built.
How it began

Built in 1745 for Jaipur's prime ministers, the palace was later gifted to Prince Jagat Singh, the son of Maharani Gayatri Devi.
