What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
All are quite spacious and extremely comfortable, the bulk of them in a relatively conservative style, but the top luxury suites in a more pronounced contemporary scheme.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Set along the Harborland promenade, the hotel looks over active ship moorings just west of Meriken Park.
The rooms
All quarters are expansive suites opening onto private harbor-facing terraces, each appointed with a deep jetted whirlpool tub.
The spa
Warm carbonated spring baths in the women's spa look through panoramic glass onto a sunny garden courtyard.
Restaurant Le Coeur Kobe
Tables look out toward Kobe Port Tower, serving French dishes crafted from Seto Inland Sea seafood and Hyogo beef.
At the table
Terrace tables set with champagne overlook the harbor basin. Indoors, live jazz rings out from a rare Steinway grand piano.
How it began

Architect Hiroyuki Seki won a municipal competition to anchor Kobe's waterfront redevelopment, opening the property in 2008.
