The rooms
French Tréca beds sit in wood-paneled rooms, and suites under the thatch look out through mullioned windows.
The saunas
Warmly lit wooden saunas hide in the historic barn, and guests carry bathrobes out to loungers on the lawn.
At the table
Tables in the glass winter garden look onto the pond, and Café Tausendschön bakes tarts beside an antique cast-iron stove.
How it began

Rudolf Böckmann founded the estate on a former livestock farm in the 1970s, naming it after an on-site pottery workshop.
