Despite its modernist silhouette, Lani’s Suites De Luxe isn’t entirely new: it was designed as an apartment building in the 1980s by the renowned local architect César Manrique, then fully revamped and turned into a luxe adults-only boutique hotel in 2015.

The rooms
Suites open onto private sea-facing terraces with dolphin-spotting binoculars, and sixteen add hydromassage jacuzzis in the open air.

How it began
Owner Kumar Dadlani originally planned a shopping center for the 1980s beachfront complex before turning it into a boutique hotel.
