Our shorthand ↗

Rooms

Beds are dressed in Bellino Italian linens, while select rooms add warm gas fireplaces for chilly coastal evenings.

Backstory

Palisociety transformed the former Getaway inn in 2023, establishing a bespoke bed and breakfast chapter in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Mornings start with champagne and Rise + Roam pastries, followed by regional wines in the communal lobby lounge.

The neighborhood

Set right on Ocean Avenue, the inn sits steps from village galleries and a scenic walk from Carmel Beach.

Built around feeling better. Rest, sweat, soak, spa.

A hotel the city grew up with. Same rituals, same regulars.

A world of its own. No reason to leave the property.

Scene — what’s outside the door

Lively

Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.

Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.

Quiet

Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.

Secluded

A place apart: the property is the destination.
