Les Manoirs de Tourgéville
Cinematic Norman estate
Cinematic Norman estate
The estate was built as a movie set and still runs like one, complete with its own fifty-seat cinema.
What it’s good at
Notable
Circular half-timbered manor houses set across parkland, originally conceived by filmmaker Claude Lelouch.
Listed
Calvados country estate serving Norman dishes prepared with vegetables from the on-site garden.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
the half-timbered main building is traditional enough, but the four ‘manoirs,’ however conventional their interiors, are perfect circles.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Deauville's beach and boardwalk are a ten-minute drive north, and the historic harbor of Honfleur lies just beyond.
The rooms
Rooms are divided between the central timbered house and four round manors set across the seven-hectare park.
The indoor pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The indoor pool is heated to 28°C, with floor-to-ceiling glass looking out across the courtyard and manor facade.
The spa and gym
Therapists use Institut Esthederm products in three treatment rooms, and the timber-framed gym looks out across the park.
Le Restaurant 1899
Tables encircle an open fireplace under vaulted timber trusses, serving seasonal Norman menus by chef Emmanuel Andrieu.
At the table
Deep armchairs surround an open fireplace in the lounge bar, with cocktails and wine served under timber beams.
How it began

Built for a film that was never shot, the estate hosted visiting actors until Groupe Floirat took over in 2010.
