Mama ShelterPlayful rooftop clubhouse
The property runs as an irreverent public clubhouse, where long communal dinners easily slide into open-air drinks and late-night DJ sets.
“The hotel’s eclectic style extends from the heavily graffitied lobby ceiling to the 125 guest rooms, each outfitted with wildly patterned black-and-white rugs.”

Michelin Selected
Michelin
Also in AFAR.
The visual approach is as riotous and whimsical as ever, but the details are tailored to the setting, where Austria-Hungary meets the Balkans.
In a lively part of town
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Knez Mihailova's pedestrian street stretches right outside, with Kalemegdan Park and the Belgrade Fortress just a short walk away.
The rooms
Graphic monochrome rugs and matte walls quiet the mood after the lobby. Selected rooms open onto private terraces.
Mama Restaurant
High-backed peacock chairs line long timber tables, with a foosball table beside the bar and live bands on Friday nights.
At the table
Picnic benches and bistro tables sit beneath festive bunting on the covered rooftop terrace, looking out over the city.
How it began

The building rises above the excavated ruins of Roman Singidunum. Inside, designer Jalil Amor wove in Ottoman motifs and regional Balkan patterns.
