ME Malta rises twenty stories in a Zaha Hadid-designed tower at the center of St. Julian's, where contemporary architecture meets the golden shores of St. George's Bay.
In a lively part of town
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Paceville's lively nightlife clusters around the tower, and Saint George's Bay is a short stroll away.
The rooms
Maltese crafts accent the pale stone rooms, and private glass balconies look out toward St Julian's Bay.
The pools
Bring a swimsuit.
A curved infinity pool looks across the city from the eighth floor. Below ground, a second pool faces a projection screen.
The spa
Treatments at Dee Spas use organic ingredients, and warm terracotta lounges are lined with cushioned chaises.
The gym
Technogym equipment and free weights fill the 24-hour gym, set beneath linear overhead lights.
Radio Rooftop Bar
The twentieth-floor bar serves Asian sharing plates and cocktails, looking across the coast through curved panoramic glass.
The contrast continues upstairs, with Turkish design studio Autoban combining limestone-inspired neutrals and Mediterranean blues with contemporary art, sculptural details and expansive glass walls.
At the table
Luciano serves Italian plates beside aquatic murals, and Cabana Club brings Mediterranean dining to the eighth-floor pool terrace.
How it began

The tower rises directly from Mercury House, a historic limestone building that once served as a British telecommunications center.
