Opened in 2022 on Samarkand Street in Bukhara's historic quarter, the Mercure Old Town has…shaped the hotel's own design language of carved wood, handcrafted ceramics, and turquoise tile.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
The ancient Samarkand Gates stand steps away, and the Kalyan Minaret rises a short walk down the street.

The rooms
Rooms look out on either the quiet inner courtyard or the city skyline, finished in carved wood and glazed ceramics.
The indoor pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The 14-meter indoor pool is heated year-round and lined in turquoise tiles beneath vaulted white marble arches.
The hammam
The basement hammam is built in 16th-century style, with heated marble slabs and body scrubs using natural aromatic oils.
Saffron Restaurant
The top-floor dining room opens onto an open-air terrace, serving classic Uzbek samsa and drinks from the wooden bar.
How it began

Soviet factories and a bus depot once stood here, before the city used archival photographs to restore the historic streetscape.
