In a lively part of town
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Positioned at the edge of Parc de la Ciutadella in El Born, surrounded by historic tapas bars, artisan boutiques, and the Picasso Museum.
The rooms
Interiors feature Catalan timber flooring, handcrafted beds, and zellige tile showers, with many rooms opening onto balconies over Passeig de Picasso.
The rooftop pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Yellow daybeds and potted olive trees border the rooftop plunge pool, which looks out across Parc de la Ciutadella.
The gym
The subterranean fitness room is open around the clock, fitted with custom timber weight racks and workout benches.
Dogs stay too.
At the table
Volta serves flame-cooked Mediterranean dishes under the stone arcade, and its bar pours aperitivos beneath a central glass skylight.
Every one of Borneta’s 85 rooms and seven suites is individually designed, reflecting the natural, warm color palette of the neighborhood and the Mediterranean—terracotta, olive green, and sand.
How it began

The property occupies a 19th-century building beneath the grand Fontserè stone arches, originally created alongside the neighboring park for the 1888 Universal Exhibition.
