The house
Hoshino ResortsFestive riverside tower
It runs like a lively town hall, built to turn strangers into drinking companions through Kochi's spirited banquet traditions.
What it’s good at
Notable
Nightly Yosakoi dance shows and live straw-grilled bonito channel Kochi's okyaku banquet tradition.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
The Kagami River runs right outside, and a short tram ride leads to the communal tables at Hirome Market.

The rooms
Utage Suites have low banquet tables and traditional bekuhai cups, arranged for lingering over drinks and local snacks.
The baths
Indoor baths are lined with deep blue tiles beneath a furafu mosaic mural. Outside, open-air baths face native botanical gardens.
The sauna and lounge
The Finnish sauna runs automatic loyly cycles every 20 minutes. The Yuagari lounge serves cold-brewed tea and seasonal citrus drinks.
At the table
Buffet tables display regional Tosa specialties cooked in the open kitchen. Dessert includes a build-your-own sweet potato parfait bar.
How it began

The tower operated as a Hotel Nikko until a 2024 renovation cut room numbers from 191 to 133 to expand communal spaces.
