Off-grid stone cottages
The settlement runs entirely off the grid without phone signal, with guests gathering for shared evening feasts.

Michelin Selected
Michelin
Also in Condé Nast Traveler and AFAR.
its relative wildness and seclusion is a great strength of Onar Andros, a cluster of 18 low-profile, well-camouflaged villas and houses set between a quiet beach and a protected wetland.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Ahla Beach sits a five-minute walk down the river path, with a quiet chapel and lighthouse overlooking the water.
The rooms
Cottages keep interiors spare with cool plastered walls, and each terrace has a hammock looking across the valley.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The freshwater pool rests on a sunlit stone terrace looking out toward the rugged river valley.
Onar Restaurant
Guests gather at long wooden tables for daily Cycladic dishes and local tsipouro beside the river.
Our favorite is the four-person villa built into the hillside and crafted out of local stone. Roughly plastered walls the color of thick Greek yogurt keep things cool inside, while a glossy pool outback overlooks sugary Ahla beach.
How it began

The valley began as a private campsite for founder Mateo Pantzopoulos, who bought the land from a newspaper advertisement.
