Our shorthand ↗
“Populus Seattle also benefits from rooms and suites that are modern with a warm retro edge, and comforts that are substantial, if not opulent.”
— Michelin

Rooms

“Inside, exposed beams, Douglas fir, and commissioned works fill the foyer and stairwells.”
— Condé Nast Traveler

Backstory

Before its hotel conversion, this 1907 building housed plumbing businesses, shipping storage and a textile mill producing parkas in the 1960s.

“The original Douglas fir flooring was carefully pulled up, restored, and reimagined as custom furniture and frames for artwork.”
— AFAR
