RAASModernist sandstone haveli
Restored 18th-century pavilions sit alongside sharp contemporary wings, creating a design enclave directly below the ramparts of Mehrangarh Fort.
“The mood is serene and contemporary, with lots of sandstone, water features, and clean lines that feel like a retreat from the traffic outside.”

Thoroughly modern within, thoroughly ancient without, it’s something special indeed: a chic luxury boutique that blends seamlessly into the old walled city of Jodphur.
“At the foot of the massive Mehrangarh Fort, Raas Jodhpur (from India’s boutique Raas Hotels group) integrates sandstone buildings once part of an 18th-century haveli (mansion).”
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
The 1740s Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell sits right outside, and the Clock Tower market is a short walk through the alleys.
The rooms
Most rooms look out at the fort through foldaway sandstone jaali screens, with polished black terrazzo underfoot.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The 18-meter heated infinity pool sits in the central courtyard, reflecting Mehrangarh Fort beside draped cabanas.
The spa
Treatment rooms occupy a restored pavilion, where an Ayurvedic physician oversees therapies beneath carved scalloped arches.
Dogs stay too.
Restaurant
Darikhana
This open-air terrace sits above the old stables, serving dishes prepared with spices from Old Delhi beneath the floodlit fort.
Four wings of the original building have been beautifully restored, with intricately carved panels and arches evident throughout, while a trio of in-keeping contemporary structures bring further space.
How it began

Brothers Nikhilendra and Dhananjaya Singh restored the 18th-century haveli, using traditional lime mortar and local stone carvers.
“Located within the old city, the hotel is a hip conversion of an 18th-century haveli that seamlessly stitches together four original buildings and three new additions.”
