San Luis Obispo, California

San Luis Creek Lodge, vibe

Vibe

A mellow, residential rhythm settles over the grounds, from quiet morning coffee deliveries to relaxed evenings unwinding on the Central Coast.

“Bohemian coastal cove”

Design

Nina Freudenberger interiors layer bohemian surf-shack aesthetics with whitewashed farmhouse paneling, vintage Moroccan rugs, and artisan prints.

Luxe

Rooms feature Fili d'Oro Italian bed linens, full-size Aesop amenities, and morning tote delivery of fresh pastries.

Local

A Central Coast base stocking local HoneyCo coffee, regional wines, and Linus cruiser bicycles for exploring downtown.

Central

On Monterey Street, a short ride from downtown San Luis Obispo and the Thursday night farmers market.

Our shorthand ↗
“The lodge’s disparate spaces can thank designer Nina Freudenberger of Haus Interior for their cohesive aesthetic, which is part whitewashed farmhouse, part ultra-casual surf shack.”
— Michelin

Rooms

Interiors feature custom cement tiles, framed block prints, and plush Italian linens, with gas fireplaces warming premiere rooms on cool coastal evenings.

Backstory

Originally a traditional roadside inn opened in 2003, the Monterey Street property was completely reimagined in 2020 as an intimate boutique lodge.

The neighborhood

Borrow a cruiser bike for the quick ride into downtown San Luis Obispo, where local tasting rooms and the weekly farmers market await.

Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
