SenseiData-driven desert sanctuary
Across 230 manicured desert acres, monumental sculptures and palm-shaded pathways connect a secluded community of just twenty-two private accommodations.
“However, unlike Sensei Lānaʻi, which has 96 guest rooms, Sensei Porcupine Creek has only 22 suites, making for an ultra-private atmosphere.”
What it’s good at
Exceptional
Biometric tracking, VO2-max diagnostic testing, private garden spa hales, and personalized science-backed movement programs.
Remarkable
Dedicated Sensei guides coordinate customized daily wellness itineraries, with anticipatory service across twenty-two private accommodations.
Remarkable
A private championship eighteen-hole golf course, tournament tennis courts, hiking trails, and lagoon-style desert pool.
What they say
Also in Condé Nast Traveler and AFAR.
Like all of the other spaces throughout the property, my one-bedroom standalone casita… felt at once intimate, bright, and open, marrying a sort of discreet, Japanese-influenced minimalism with bright California clean.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Tucked against the Santa Rosa foothills, groomed private trails weave past desert flora and sheep paths without another resort in sight.
The rooms
Vaulted casitas and Estate House rooms combine neutral stone and wood with spa-like bathrooms featuring deep teak Ofuro soaking tubs.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Loungers and parasols line the turquoise pool, set beneath palms with views across the desert mountains.
The spa and hot tubs
Private outdoor garden hales host therapeutic bodywork, and stone hot tubs sit tucked among dense palms.
Yoga and tennis
An open-air yoga studio sits behind climbing bougainvillea, beside tournament hard courts facing the desert foothills.
Restaurant
Sensei by Nobu
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa combines Japanese classics with nutritional science across an open sushi bar and garden terrace.
At the table
Floor-to-ceiling curved windows light the dining room, and evening cocktails are mixed at the backlit bar.
How it began

Once a private desert compound, the estate was transformed by its founders into a dedicated retreat exploring data-led preventative wellness.
