The cool, stylistically coherent interiors of a place where everything seems quadruply polished — the copper-and-glass staircase, the metallic bar stools, the white and black marble in the bathrooms, and even, it almost seems, the luminescent throw pillows on the beds — work especially well in a city of Mumbai’s dizzying scale.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Corporate headquarters and the Bharat Diamond Bourse surround the hotel, while Bandra's seaside promenade is a short drive away.

The rooms
Dark hardwood floors lead to monochrome marble bathrooms fitted with deep soaking tubs and separate rain showers.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The open-air swimming pool sits on the recreation deck, with cushioned loungers looking out toward surrounding office towers.
The spa
A crystal mobile hangs above an illuminated marble basin at reception. Private suites host Ayurvedic therapies and hot stone rituals.
The gym and baths
The 24-hour gym looks out through wide windows, and the hydrotherapy area has dry saunas and a circular whirlpool tub.
At the table
Chefs tend open ovens behind copper cookware at Pondichéry Café, and Tuskers runs a dedicated regional vegetarian kitchen.
the Sofitel is a tranquil oasis that belies the chaos of the city outside. Inside, the gleaming exteriors reflect the modern glitziness of Mumbai with a copper and glass staircase and sleek black and white marble bathrooms.
How it began

Opened in 2012 as Sofitel's debut in India, the purpose-built tower was developed by the local Shree Naman Group.
