What they say
Two Michelin Keys
Michelin
Stillpoint Lodge is upscale lodge living, its cabins constructed from local Alaskan timber — anything else, in this environment, would feel far too polished.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Reached solely by boat or floatplane across the bay from Homer, the roadless cove combines boardwalk art galleries with working fishing docks.
The rooms
Spruce cabins crafted from salvaged Alaskan timber feature covered porches, fine bamboo linens, and picture windows facing the coastal forest.
The hot tub and sauna
A cedar hot tub sits in an open-air gazebo next to an infrared sauna overlooking the bay.
Yoga and fitness yurt
Morning yoga meets in a light-filled timber studio, and a canvas yurt holds weights and workout gear.
At the table
Communal dinners feature wild-caught Kachemak Bay seafood and produce harvested daily from the on-site greenhouse.
How it began

Founded in 2003 by artist Jan and pilot Jim Thurston as a creative retreat, the property evolved into a secluded wilderness lodge.
