What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
A handful of lodges range from 85 to 320 square meters, each with its own sauna, fully equipped kitchen and mountain views.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
The Sonnenalp golf course borders the grounds, and the Weltcup Express gondola is five minutes down the road.
The rooms
Seven chalets feature custom regional pine woodwork, wood-burning fireplaces, and terraces overlooking the meadows.
The swimming pond
Bring a swimsuit.
The heated swimming pond is fed by an on-site mountain spring and looks out across open meadows.
The saunas
Private cedar and panoramic saunas sit inside each chalet or out on the wooden decks.
At the table
Lodge fridges are stocked with organic meals in glass jars, and breakfast baskets arrive at the door each morning.
How it began

Privy Councillor Dr. Otto built the estate in 1908, and it sat abandoned until Oberstdorf native Sabine Horlacher restored it.
