Marcel Wanders designed the Donna, and it shows in ways you won't forget quickly: a giant iris eye sculpture dividing bedroom from bathroom, white tree of life figures gleaming in a cave-like subterranean spa.

The rooms
Marcel Wanders designed playful quarters and themed suites with bespoke craft, pinball machines, and private terraces looking out across the Mediterranean.

In-water loungers sit in patterned blue mosaic shallows on the sun terrace looking out over the cove.
The spa and gym
A cold plunge pool and Finnish sauna sit in the subterranean spa. Floor-to-ceiling windows line the 24-hour Technogym studio.
At the table
Merchants by the Sea serves seafood across a pergola-shaded terrace above the cove. Cocktails are poured beneath surreal white sculptures.
How it began
Owner Maximiliane Bauer named the property after her daughter Donna when her family took the hotel independent in 2024.
